Responding appropriately when concerns arise and taking steps to protect children from further harm.
Providing appropriate care, guidance, and support to children affected by bullying, abuse, violence, or other serious concerns.
Anti-bullying
Leaders takes physical, verbal, social or relational, and cyberbullying seriously. Harassment and retaliation against someone who raises a concern are also treated as serious matters.
Speaking up
Students are encouraged to speak with a trusted teacher or appropriate school personnel when something is wrong. Parents are also encouraged to raise safeguarding concerns with the school. Leaders maintains appropriate channels for concerns to be raised, including confidential reporting where applicable.
When a concern is raised
Concerns are considered carefully, handled fairly, and addressed with student safety as a priority.
Information is documented where appropriate and treated confidentially as the circumstances allow.
Safety and accountability remain essential while students are helped to understand their actions, take responsibility, repair harm where appropriate, and grow in character.
