Junior High School · Grades 7–10
The teenage years bring new questions, responsibilities, and possibilities. At Leaders, students are encouraged to think independently, discover their strengths, and take greater ownership of their learning, while remaining part of a close-knit Christian school community where teachers know them personally.

A day at Leaders
The day begins at 8:00 AM with 30 minutes of homeroom for prayer, devotion, and announcements. Lessons, discussions, collaboration, and practical activities follow.
Students study English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino, Social Studies, Bible, MAPEH, and Technology and Livelihood Education.
Learning in practice
Teachers describe their approach as Finnish-inspired, with discovery, experience, and the learner at its centre. Students explore questions, discuss ideas, and apply what they learn to real situations.

Examining historical sources and discussing different perspectives help students consider how ideas and interpretations take shape.
Research, group projects, and science activities give students opportunities to investigate questions and apply their knowledge.
Debates and presentations ask students to explain their thinking, listen to others, and communicate what they have learned.
Small classes and guidance
In a small class, teachers have room to understand a student’s strengths, notice difficulties, and guide them toward greater independence. Regular records help students and families see progress and take responsibility for the next step.
Annual Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) track academic progress and behaviour, providing continuity as students move to the next grade.
Quarterly Personal Record Forms keep academic progress visible. Parents take part by reviewing and signing academic records where appropriate.
Accountability Forms for late submissions help students recognise their responsibilities, with guidance as they develop more independent learning habits.
Christian formation
Bible classes and biblical integration across subjects encourage students to consider what they learn through a biblical worldview and apply God’s Word to real situations.
Morning devotion, weekly chapel, and Leaders Connect small-group mentoring make space for prayer, reflection, and relationships. Students also have opportunities to participate in chapel, including through the band.
Through character formation, service, and everyday interactions, students are encouraged to practise integrity, humility, compassion, and responsibility, allowing Christian faith to guide their choices.
Student life
Beyond core subjects, students have opportunities to explore interests, build friendships, serve others, and practise leadership. Activities and availability vary by grade and school year.
Opportunities include guitar, piano, voice, journalism and writing, sports, and theater arts.
The Leaders Student Council, outreach, and school activities give students ways to contribute to their community and work alongside others.
Electives include Emotional Development and Love, Courtship, and Marriage, offering space to consider personal growth and relationships.
